Building a Successful Agritourism Brand
Every agritourism farm has a brand, whether it planned one or not. John Stanley, consultant and farmer at Chestnut Brae near Nannup, shows how to build one that sets your farm apart, starting with a line from a US keynote that made the room squirm: "If you've been to one farm, you've been to them all."
He works through the steps in order, from your unique selling proposition and values to the visitor journey, your logo, signage and storytelling, with examples from Chestnut Brae and from businesses in the USA, Canada and the UK.
What you’ll learn
- Why "me too" farms get overlooked, and how to find what makes yours different
- Put your priorities, vision and values on one page, and share it with your team and your guests
- Design the visitor journey around touch points that use all five senses
- Let your target customers choose your logo, not you
- Use signage that builds anticipation, and tell your story before, during and after the visit
