The Global Agritourism Network’s Australia/New Zealand Regional Committee is building a comprehensive map of the agritourism ecosystem across both countries, and is calling on organisations and networks to submit their details before 12 September 2026.

What the Mapping Project Involves

The initiative follows the Global Agritourism Conference and is designed to give the committee a clear picture of where agritourism organisations operate, what their purpose is, and how they connect with one another. The stated goal is to avoid duplication of effort across the sector.

Submissions are being coordinated by Allison Clark via email. Each submission should include:

• The organisation or network name
• Its location within Australia or New Zealand
• The lead contact, if known
• The geographic scope of the organisation’s focus (regional, state, or national)
• The organisation’s purpose

Why This Matters for WA Operators

WA agritourism operators who belong to, or have direct knowledge of, industry bodies, regional tourism networks, producer groups, or farm-based visitor economy associations should consider whether those organisations are represented in this mapping process.

The value of a well-constructed sector map extends beyond the committee’s internal planning. A mapped and connected national ecosystem makes it easier to identify gaps in support services, avoid conflicting advocacy positions across state lines, and present a unified sector profile to federal government and funding bodies. WA’s geographic isolation and the scale of its agricultural regions mean that WA-specific organisations may not be visible to eastern states-based network builders without a deliberate submission.

Operators who are aware of WA-based agritourism networks, industry roundtables, or regional landcare and tourism partnerships should flag those organisations to Allison Clark before 12 September 2026 to ensure WA’s sector weight is accurately reflected in the final map.
