The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) has released the 2026 edition of the Western Australian Exporter Directory, a resource designed to connect global buyers with more than 150 export-ready agrifood and beverage suppliers in the state. The updated directory profiles a range of businesses, including established exporters and new companies that have recently entered international markets.
This initiative is supported by state export data showing a combined value exceeding $14 billion for WA’s agrifood, fisheries, and forestry items last year. During that period, the state exported over 200 unique product types to more than 90 international markets, indicating a significant and established global demand for WA produce.
Market Access and Business Development
For agritourism operators who also produce packaged goods, inclusion in the directory offers a direct, low-cost channel to increase international market reach. It functions as a state-endorsed marketing platform, providing visibility to a network of vetted global buyers and helping to diversify revenue streams beyond farm-gate sales and domestic tourism.
By listing a business, the directory allows producers to build new commercial relationships and leverage the state’s reputation for supply chain reliability. The primary benefit for operators is gaining access to international buyers without the significant capital outlay typically required for independent global marketing campaigns. The directory showcases a wide range of product categories, including:
- Fruit and vegetables
- Meat and seafood
- Cereals and grains
- Gourmet and value-added products
- Beverages
The directory is publicly available on the DPIRD website for review by international buyers and for local businesses to understand the platform.
